My name's Genevieve, and I'm a copywriter based in Shetland, (a wind-swept archipelago nestling between the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean). I live in Lerwick with my family and ever-growing collection of woollen jumpers.

How I became a copywriter...
In my past life, I was a teacher. I taught my way around Europe for several years, before my husband and I moved to Shetland. Children arrived, and with them, a more settled lifestyle. I never lost my wanderlust though!
For 10 years I worked as a freelance writer and editor. Parts of this lifestyle suited me well, (what's not to love about writing under the duvet on a freezing January morning?) but I got lonely. I missed working with people!
How could I marry my writing ability with my love of helping people to meet their goals?
Then one cold, dark January morning, I was cheering myself up by doing a spot of armchair travelling. Goodness me, I thought to myself, some of these websites could do with a serious rewrite!
Then it hit me. Writing, coaching and armchair (maybe even real-life) travelling all at the same time? Surely that would be my dream career! I retrained as a copywriter and Campion Comms & Coaching was born.
Now, every day, I help business owners to connect with customers in a much deeper and more powerful way. Simply through the power of words.
